Job Overview

The Plant Human Resource Head is responsible for leading all human resource functions at the manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth workforce management in a high-performance foundry environment. The role focuses on manpower planning, recruitment, employee engagement, and maintaining productivity across operations.The position plays a key role in managing industrial relations, handling labor compliance, and ensuring adherence to statutory requirements. It also involves close coordination with production and operations teams to ensure the availability of skilled manpower and minimize attrition. Additionally, the Plant HR Head oversees HR processes such as attendance, payroll coordination, contract labor management, and supports a safe and disciplined work environment. Overall, the role ensures a stable, compliant, and efficient workforce to support consistent quality and timely delivery of engineering cast components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manpower planning strategies aligned with production schedules, plant capacity, and business goals.
  • Forecast workforce requirements in coordination with Production, Operations, and Planning teams, ensuring optimal staffing across shifts and seasons.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for staff, workmen, and contract workforce, including sourcing, screening, selection, onboarding, and induction.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical foundry and engineering roles such as molding, melting, fettling, CNC, maintenance, and quality.
  • Manage contract labor lifecycle including vendor selection, deployment, compliance under CLRA, attendance tracking, billing validation, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure availability of skilled manpower to support uninterrupted plant operations and meet delivery timelines.
  • Handle complete industrial relations, including union coordination, negotiations, grievance redressal, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain a positive IR climate with zero disruption to operations and minimal man-days loss.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable labor laws such as Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, and Standing Orders.
  • Liaise with government authorities including labor department, factory inspector, PF and ESI offices.
  • Maintain statutory records, registers, licenses, and returns, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
  • Lead internal, statutory, and customer compliance audits with proper documentation and corrective actions.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives including shop-floor connect programs, reward and recognition, communication forums, and welfare activities.
  • Monitor and control attrition, absenteeism, and workforce stability through data analysis and proactive retention strategies.
  • Foster a disciplined, safe, and high-performance work culture aligned with plant requirements.
  • Implement grievance handling mechanisms to ensure timely resolution and improved employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee attendance management systems, shift planning, leave management, and overtime control for all employee categories.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs with corporate or finance teams, ensuring accurate wage, salary, overtime, and contractor billing processing.
  • Maintain HRIS, employee records, and documentation including onboarding, exits, and personal files.
  • Generate and analyze HR MIS reports covering manpower, productivity, absenteeism, attrition, and cost metrics.
  • Identify skill gaps and lead training and development initiatives including technical, safety, quality, and behavioral programs.
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance workforce capability in areas like 5S, TPM, and defect reduction.
  • Support performance management systems and link workforce productivity with business outcomes.
  • Partner with EHS and Safety teams to ensure PPE compliance, safety induction, medical checks, and statutory welfare measures.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and compliant work environment across the plant.
  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the Plant Head and leadership team, aligning HR initiatives with plant goals on quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
  • Support change management initiatives such as expansion, automation, restructuring, and workforce redeployment.
  • Drive implementation of corporate HR policies, compensation structures, and performance frameworks at the plant level.
  • Monitor key KPIs including manpower productivity, attrition rate, absenteeism, compliance score, and manpower cost to drive continuous improvement.

  • Strong expertise in manpower planning, workforce forecasting, and high-volume recruitment for manufacturing and foundry environments.
  • Proven capability in end-to-end talent acquisition for technical, staff, and shop-floor roles including specialized foundry skills.
  • Deep knowledge of industrial relations, union management, collective bargaining, and grievance handling.

The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Sales Engineer plays a critical role in driving business growth for a company that is transforming the material handling industry with electric mobility at its core. The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling these electric material handling solutions to warehouses, manufacturing plants, logistics companies, infrastructure projects, and industrial facilities. The role combines technical knowledge with strong sales capability to understand customer requirements, propose suitable equipment solutions, and close high-value B2B deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth in electric Material Handling Equipment and industrial mobility solutions.
  • Identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities across manufacturing plants, warehouses, logistics hubs, construction sites, airports, infrastructure projects, and municipal sectors.
  • Promote and sell Electric Tow Trucks, Electric Forklifts, Electric Trolleys, Electric Cranes, and other electric material handling equipment.
