Job Overview
The HR Manager will lead the Human Resources function by developing and implementing people strategies that support the organization's growth and long-term business objectives. The role is responsible for managing the complete employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, and retention initiatives. The incumbent will oversee HR operations, policy implementation, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, and employee relations while ensuring efficient and compliant HR practices. Working closely with leadership and departmental teams, the HR Manager will build a high-performance work culture, strengthen organizational capability, drive continuous process improvements, resolve employee concerns, and support change management initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to align human resource practices with business priorities and contribute to a productive, collaborative, and growth-oriented workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Lead workforce planning and manpower forecasting to meet current and future business requirements.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, selection, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding across all departments.
- Partner with business leaders to identify talent requirements and build high-performing teams.
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, including probation, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit management.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks, and HR best practices.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational development initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Design and manage performance management systems, including KRAs/KPIs, appraisals, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Identify training needs and coordinate technical, leadership, behavioural, safety, and compliance training programs.
- Develop succession planning and career development programs for critical positions.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, company policies, and HR governance requirements.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, employee benefits, attendance, leave management, and HR administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, HRIS, and statutory registers.
- Prepare HR MIS reports, dashboards, workforce analytics, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflict management.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work culture across corporate offices and project sites.
- Support organizational restructuring, business transformation, and change management initiatives.
- Coordinate with recruitment agencies, consultants, educational institutions, and external HR service providers.
- Monitor recruitment budgets, HR expenditures, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure timely completion of HR audits, compliance reviews, and statutory inspections.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to optimize workforce productivity and resource allocation.
- Support employer branding initiatives through job portals, career fairs, campus hiring, and social media recruitment.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of HR systems, processes, and workflows.
- Promote employee health, safety, wellness, and workplace ethics in coordination with relevant departments.
- Perform other strategic and operational HR responsibilities as assigned by the management.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of strategic Human Resource Management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Proven expertise in end-to-end talent acquisition, recruitment, employer branding, and onboarding processes.
- Excellent understanding of labour laws, statutory compliance, industrial relations, and employment regulations.
- Expertise in developing and implementing HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks, and HR best practices.
- Strong experience in performance management, including KRAs, KPIs, appraisals, feedback, and employee development.
- Proficiency in employee engagement, retention strategies, organizational development, and workplace culture enhancement.
- Proven ability to manage HR operations, payroll coordination, attendance, leave administration, employee benefits, and HR documentation.
- Strong knowledge of HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Office, HR analytics, and MIS reporting.
- Excellent employee relations, grievance handling, conflict resolution, and disciplinary management skills.
- Experience in learning and development, succession planning, leadership development, and change management initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, project teams, and cross-functional departments.
- Knowledge of contract labour management, vendor coordination, and multi-location workforce administration.
- Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, employee welfare, and compliance within the real estate and construction industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, coaching, and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, adaptability, and commitment to continuous process improvement.
