QC Welding Engineer – WNMQWE04072024
- Issuing welding tickets to company workers.
- Checking welding specifications for a job.
- Ensuring the correct equipment and materials are being used for a weld.
- Inspecting completed welds.
- Assessing the quality and strength of completed welds.
- Suggesting alternative welding techniques.
- Demonstrating correct welding procedures.
- Generating new welding techniques.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Ensuring welders adhere to state health and safety regulations.
- Candidate has to check, review and verify.
- Applicable code, standard or specification to be implemented on the job is up-to-date with the latest revision or amendment.
- Correct fabrication or construction drawings to be issued and its revisions have been approved and the issuance number is marked.
- Procedures like Welding Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Records, Weld Repair Procedure, Non Destructive Test (NDT) Procedure, etc. have been approved and are employed during the fabrication, construction or production process.
- Documents pertaining to the raw materials and consumables like Material Test Certificates (MTC), Material Traceability Record, etc. are available and in conformance with the applicable code and standards.
- List of equipment and other devices to be used were calibrated and calibration certificate has been provided so with calibration stickers or labels attached to it.
- List of qualified welders according to the process they are qualified for are available. Approved welders/welding operators are provided with their identification card or I.D.
- Candidate have to check and verify the welding materials and consumables shall have proper storage or housekeeping according to their types and classifications.
- Joints to be welded shall meet the requirement of the approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) e.g. shapes and dimensions of the weld preparation as specified, fusion faces and adjacent surfaces are cleaned. Parts to be joined are fixed in relation to each other.
- Pre-heating if required is in accordance with the specified and approved preheating procedure.
Key Skills
- CSWIP, AWS, HNC, HND, or NVQ certification.
- Advanced knowledge of TIG, MIG, laser, butt, and arc welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Observant and analytical.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Good management and supervision skills.
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal Industry.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills.
- A sound understanding of safety protocols.
- Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines.
Salary
₹30000/- to ₹50000/- pm (Best in the Industry for Qualified Candidate)
