Job Overview
- Install, commission, and integrate HVAC and industrial cooling systems (chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, piping, and control systems) with Laser Machines, CNC Routers, CO₂ Laser Systems, Fiber Laser Systems, and Digital Printing Machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications to ensure proper system layout and seamless integration.
- Connect refrigerant/coolant lines, electrical wiring, sensors, and PLC interfaces to ensure safe and accurate machine operation.
- Perform system testing, refrigerant charging, coolant filling, calibration, and commissioning to verify temperature stability, flow rate, and safety interlocks.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to optimize cooling efficiency and extend equipment life.
- Monitor coolant levels, pH, conductivity, and chemical balance to prevent corrosion, scaling, or contamination.
- Clean and replace filters, strainers, condenser coils, radiator fins, and heat exchangers.
- Inspect and service compressors, pumps, motors, valves, fans, belts, and bearings; lubricate and adjust components as required.
- Calibrate temperature, pressure, and flow sensors to maintain precise cooling performance for laser tubes, spindles, resonators, and other critical parts.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, and control system faults using tools such as multimeters, pressure gauges, flow meters, and thermal cameras.
- Identify root causes of overheating, leaks, blockages, electrical failures, poor airflow, or coolant contamination affecting machine performance.
- Repair or replace defective components including compressors, motors, pumps, valves, sensors, thermostats, control boards, and wiring.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, leak detection, and recharging in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide emergency on-site repairs to minimize downtime and restore system functionality quickly.
- Ensure precise temperature control (±1°C where required) for Fiber and CO₂ Laser systems to maintain power stability and machine accuracy.
- Support spindle cooling systems and airflow management in CNC Routers.
- Maintain temperature and humidity control for Digital Printing Machines to ensure consistent print quality.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for energy efficiency, reliability, and uptime.
- Maintain detailed service reports, maintenance logs, downtime records, and compliance documentation.
- Follow all safety standards including PPE usage, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe refrigerant handling practices.
- Provide technical support to operators and maintenance teams, explain issues clearly, and offer preventive recommendations.
- Coordinate with production and service teams to ensure smooth operations and high service quality standards.
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, industrial chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled), cooling towers, and closed-loop process cooling systems.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.
- Expertise in handling refrigerants (R-134a, R-410A, etc.), including recovery, evacuation, leak detection, and recharging as per regulations.
- Proficiency in coolant management including distilled water, glycol mixtures, deionized (DI) water systems, pH control, conductivity monitoring, and contamination prevention.
- Ability to maintain precise temperature stability (±0.5°C to ±1°C) required for Fiber and CO₂ Laser systems.
- Strong mechanical skills in servicing compressors, pumps, motors, valves, heat exchangers, fans, bearings, belts, and piping systems.
- Expertise in brazing, soldering, refrigerant piping, and high-pressure system handling.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills including wiring, relays, contactors, sensors, control panels, and voltage testing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&ID layouts, and manufacturer specifications.
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems, control logic, machine interlocks, and integration with CNC/Laser controllers.
- Understanding of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), temperature controllers, flow switches, thermocouples, and pressure transducers.
- Advanced diagnostic ability using multimeters, manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, flow meters, thermal imaging cameras, leak detectors, and digital monitoring tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, and control-related failures.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, flow rate calculations, pressure drop concepts, and system performance optimization.
- Familiarity with precision cooling requirements of Laser Machines, CNC Routers, and Digital Printing Machines.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, system calibration, and efficiency tuning for maximum uptime.
- Strict adherence to safety standards including PPE, lockout/tagout (LOTO), refrigerant handling compliance, and electrical safety protocols.
- Competence in maintaining service documentation, maintenance logs, and digital reporting systems.
- Computer literacy for using diagnostic software, BMS interfaces, and data logging tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in production environments.
- Excellent communication skills for technical support, operator training, and customer coordination.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize emergency breakdowns.
- Ability to work independently at client sites and collaborate effectively with service and production teams.
