Internal Auditor – WNMIA22052025

Job Overview
They are looking for a skilled Internal Auditor to join their team in the machine manufacturing sector, specializing in laser and CNC technologies. The role involves assessing internal controls, ensuring compliance, minimizing risk, and recommending improvements across financial and operational processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess financial, operational, technological, compliance, and strategic risks across all business functions.
- Develop and monitor risk mitigation strategies tailored to laser, CNC, and digital printing technologies.
- Evaluate internal controls in finance, production, R&D, quality control, sales, and HR.
- Ensure segregation of duties, proper authorization, and asset protection mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with Indian laws and regulations. (e.g., manufacturing, IP, labor, environment, financial reporting)
- Lead or support ISO audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Conduct process audits for manufacturing, assembly, testing, and machine delivery operations.
- Identify inefficiencies in workflows, inventory management, and logistics.
- Audit financial statements, transactions, and accounting records for accuracy and transparency.
- Review revenue recognition, cost accounting, and expense control.
- Detects and investigates fraud risks or financial irregularities.
- Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessments.
- Prepare and present audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
- Conduct follow-up audits to verify implementation of corrective actions.
- Perform IT audits for CNC software, laser control systems, design databases, and digital platforms.
- Evaluate cybersecurity risks and IP protection measures.
- Audit plant operations for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance specific to laser/CNC equipment.
- Review procurement of critical components like laser sources, optics, CNC controllers, and print heads.
- Assess supplier quality, cost-effectiveness, and contractual compliance.
- Evaluate R&D processes, innovation project management, and cost controls.
- Verify IP compliance and patent registration for new product development.
- Audit customer service, warranty claims, and feedback handling for reliability improvement.
- Analyze complex data, identify root causes, and suggest practical solutions.
- Communicate audit findings clearly across all levels of management.
- Maintain objectivity and professionalism in all audit activities.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
- Stay updated on manufacturing laws, industry standards, and regulatory changes.

- In-depth knowledge of internal audit standards, accounting principles, and risk management frameworks.

- Expertise in inventory control, procurement procedures, production costing, and overall manufacturing operations.
- Ability to detect inefficiencies, fraud risks, and control weaknesses across departments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder interaction.
- Strong report-writing, documentation, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in using audit tools and ERP systems such as SAP, Tally, or other industry-specific software.
- Ability to maintain independence, objectivity, and confidentiality in all audit activities.
- High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Detail-oriented with a structured and methodical approach to auditing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to changing regulatory environments and industry standards.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and compliance audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
