Service Engineer – WNDSE10082024
- Carry out planned maintenance on air compressors, systems and ancillary products.
- Attending equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, identify parts needed and complete repairs.
- Complete relevant paperwork in detail, ensuring the paperwork is clear, accurate and legible.
- Keeping the customer informed and ensuring all work completed is done with their approval.
- Travel to customer job sites to troubleshoot and maintain industrial equipment, specifically piston and rotary screw air compressors, various types of air dryers and other air system components.
- Perform diagnostics and determine causes for malfunctions on defective air compressor systems.
- Provide failure analysis and equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance.
- Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs.
- Technical assistance on equipment start-ups and installations.
- Read and comprehend operational manuals, electrical schematics, and parts breakdowns.
- Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job.
- Maintaining service vehicles with proper equipment, tools, and parts to promote efficient, factory approved methods for servicing equipment.
- Other assignments may be given at the discretion of the management.
- Perform technical tasks, including mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and repair of compressed air systems and accessories.
- Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of compressed air systems and accessories both during regular hours and after-hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs of compressed air systems and accessories.
- Read and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics, general compressed air equipment literature, and work orders to execute required maintenance and repairs.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations, including totaling work orders and applying basic compressed air formulas.
- Utilise a variety of hand and power tools, electric metres, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
- Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report them, along with any other unusual situations, to the service manager promptly.
- Follow safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly shop work areas, company vehicles, and job site work areas.
- Must be available to work overnight shifts as necessary.
- Perform tasks requiring the use of welding tools, wiches, pulleys, hoists and pallet jacks.
Key Skills
- Strong service knowledge in industrial equipment. (compressed air, HVAC, vacuum etc...)
- Working knowledge of compressed air systems and associated components.
- Knowledge of electrical diagrams and mechanical flow diagrams.
- Experience with three phase electrical and plumbing systems (copper, aluminium) is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for industrial equipment.
- Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary
40000/- to 80000/- pm (Best in the Industry for Qualified Candidate)
