- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Record all financial transactions related to manufacturing operations, inventory, sales, services, and fixed assets.
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities using Tally, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
- Prepare, verify, and issue customer invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and payment receipts.
- Manage accounts receivable, track customer payments, prepare ageing reports, and follow up on outstanding dues.
- Handle accounts payable including verification of vendor invoices, purchase orders, GRNs, and timely vendor payments.
- Maintain vendor and customer master data including GST, bank details, contracts, and compliance documents.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Track and monitor manufacturing costs including raw materials, labour, overheads, depreciation, and R&D expenses.
- Conduct cost accounting and variance analysis to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods with accurate valuation.
- Coordinate physical stock verification and reconcile inventory records with stores and production teams.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register including capitalization, depreciation, and asset verification.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities with timely journal entries and adjustments.
- Prepare MIS reports including cash flow statements, cost summaries, profitability analysis, and management dashboards.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements such as Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis aligned with production plans and business growth.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, income tax, PF, ESI, and other regulations.
- Prepare and file GST returns, maintain Input Tax Credit records, and generate e-way bills as required.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required data for audits and assessments.
- Track capital expenditure related to plant expansion, machinery, and electric mobility infrastructure.
- Support sustainability and ESG-related financial tracking including green incentives, subsidies, and energy savings.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, sales, and management teams for financial planning and decision-making.
- Maintain proper documentation, filing, and record-keeping in physical and digital formats.
- Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, internal controls, and financial discipline.
- Handle ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or CFO.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Proficiency in maintaining general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing and cost accounting for industrial or heavy equipment.
- Expertise in cost accounting including BOM costing, standard costing, variance analysis, and cost allocation.
- Ability to manage inventory accounting including raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and obsolescence control.
- Knowledge of inventory valuation methods such as FIFO and standard costing.
- Strong understanding of fixed asset management including capitalization, depreciation, and impairment.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF functions, and financial analysis.
- Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
- Ability to handle vendor payments, customer invoicing, collections, and ageing analysis.
- Strong skills in bank reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Income Tax, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in GST return filing including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, e-way bills, and ITC reconciliation.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Ability to prepare MIS reports, financial statements, and management summaries.
- Experience in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Capability to support statutory, internal, and GST audits with accurate documentation.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, and job-wise or batch-wise costing.
- Ability to allocate expenses accurately across manufacturing units, warehouses, and project sites.
- Familiarity with payroll accounting, reimbursements, and employee cost tracking.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition, WIP schedules, and cash flow projections.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet reporting deadlines.
- Good communication skills for coordination with vendors, auditors, banks, and internal teams.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, procurement, sales, and operations teams.
