Store Keeper – WNESK18012023

To receive the materials ordered by the purchase department (in case of Decentralised system) and supplied by the vendors in a proper maintenance as per the laid down procedure.
To ensure the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, condition of the materials received from vendors.
To stock the materials received from vendors properly as to ensure easy access identification, verification, handling, maintenance etc.
To ensure proper stocking of materials by using appropriate methods of care and preservation to avoid any damage and loss.
To ensure a smooth issue of materials to the issue department.
To ensure accurate accounting of the materials receiver and issued.
To ensure a favorable working atmosphere is maintained for the personnel working in the store.
To ensure proper safety measures are taken for the safety of the store building, materials in the store and the men working in the store.
To ensure that the store is always maintained up to date in all respects in a presentable condition.
Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom.
Receive, unload, and shelve supplies.
Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labelling supplies.
Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies.
Operating software like ERP report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping.
Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses.
Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs.
Making sure the store runs smoothly and effectively.
Responsible for the maintenance of maximum and minimum stocks.
Maintenance of inventory records, preparation of material orders, and the receiving, inspecting and storing of supplies disbursed on job orders and material transfers.
Operate and maintain an effective engineering spare parts storage system.
Maintain the correct engineering stock levels.
Ensure that all engineering materials are received and booked in on the materials management system.
Maintain accurate records of all engineering materials transactions.

Key Skills

Preferably from a Engineering Background.
Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
Data management in ERP.
Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management.
Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
Skills to operate common office equipment.
Experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping
Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
