Construction Safety Officer – WNACSO22022025

Job Overview
The Company is seeking a Construction Safety Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices at our high-rise building construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and training workers to maintain a safe and accident-free work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures at construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Train and educate construction workers and site staff on safety standards and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and contractors to implement safety measures.
- Conduct emergency drills and first aid training as needed.
- Keep records of safety audits, violations, and corrective actions.
- Regularly inspect construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans, including risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response plans.
- Provide safety training to construction workers, supervisors, and managers on site-specific hazards, safety procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Investigate incidents, including accidents, near misses, and property damage, to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and workers to ensure that safety is integrated into all aspects of construction projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including incident reports, training records, and safety inspections.
- Develop, Establish and lead safety programs to ensure.
- Highest safety standard at construction sites.
- To ensure safety for all construction activities at site.
- To ensure proper EHS implementation at sites.
- To maintain proper EHS documentation at sites viz Check lists, formats and permit system etc.
- To conduct EHS Committee meetings and to come up with methods to improve safety at sites.
- Training of contractor workers by conducting tool box meetings, EHS induction Training, Seminars etc.
- Overall responsibility of site safety procedures, SOPs and process and ensure compliances.
- Mock Drill & Training to site worker Safety Precaution for Contractor & Staff employee.
- First Aid treatment project site.
- Address any form of violation of safety codes within the organization.
- Investigate and implement appropriate disciplinary action on violators of safety
- codes within the establishment.
- Ensure that all fire and safety equipment in an establishment is in good shape always.
- Make sure that there are well-developed plans for easy evacuation of people in a building in the case of a fire outbreak.
- Conduct fire safety checks from time to time.
- Enforce safety codes and regulations/guidelines within a particular organization.
- Carry out training and enlightenment of co-workers or employees as regards general fire safety rules and procedures.
Key Skills
- Knowledge of construction site safety laws and best practices.
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to train and educate workers on safety protocols.
- Certification in NEBOSH, OSHA, or other safety training programs is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Experience with safety management software, such as Procore or Autodesk.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
- Certifications in specialized areas, such as fall protection, scaffolding, or confined space entry.
- Excellent communication skills on all fronts. (speaking, writing, and listening)
- Must be someone that is alert, observant and pays keen attention to details at all times.
- Must show a high level of carefulness in carrying out tasks.
- Ability to work as part of a team if need be.
- Must have top-notch organizational abilities.
- Must possess in-depth knowledge of relevant fire safety codes and regulations.
- Should have undergone fire safety training.
- Must have relevant fire investigation certification.
Salary
₹20000/- to ₹30000/- pm (Best in the Industry for Qualified Candidate)
