Job Overview
The Company is looking for a Construction Store Incharge to manage and oversee the inventory and materials at our high-rise building construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for stock management, procurement, and ensuring smooth material flow for residential and commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the storage, issuance, and tracking of construction materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and project managers for material procurement.
- Ensure timely availability of cement, steel, wood, and other essential materials.
- Monitor material usage, wastage, and reordering needs.
- Implement proper storage techniques to prevent damage and loss.
- Ensure compliance with safety and storage regulations.
- Keep daily records of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Coordinate with the site team for material requirements and planning.
- Manage the construction store, ensuring that it is organized, clean, and secure.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels, monitoring inventory movements, and identifying stock discrepancies.
- Receive and inspect construction materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that they meet quality and quantity standards.
- Issue construction materials, equipment, and supplies to authorized personnel, ensuring that they are properly accounted for and tracked.
- Implement stock control measures, including first-in-first-out (FIFO) inventory management and stock rotation.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues related to deliveries, quality, and pricing.
- Prepare and submit reports on store operations, inventory levels, and material usage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom.
- Receive, unload, and shelve supplies.
- Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labelling supplies.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies.
- Operating software like ERP report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping.
- Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses.
- Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
- Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and procurement.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or inventory management software.
- Excellent organization, record-keeping, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management software, logistics, and supply chain management principles.
- Certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or inventory control.
- Experience working in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Preferably from a Real Estate Background.
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
- Data management in ERP.
- Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
- Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
- Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
- Skills to operate common office equipment.
- 3+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping
- Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Salary
₹20000/- to ₹30000/- pm (Best in the Industry for Qualified Candidate)
