
Job Overview
They are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Machinery Sales Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industrial machinery, technical sales strategies, and customer relationship management. You will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, understanding customer requirements, and recommending suitable machinery solutions.
- Identify and target potential clients across manufacturing, engineering, and industrial sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate machinery and equipment.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services to customers.
- Collaborate with technical and service teams to ensure successful machinery installation and commissioning.
- Conduct site visits to assess client needs and provide tailored machinery solutions.
- Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and negotiate contracts with customers.
- Achieve sales targets and report performance metrics to management.
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitors, and technological developments.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events for networking and business development.
- Proactively develops and creates customer relationships in his/her area of responsibility.
- Creates and communicates leads and sales opportunities for the entire sales team. (e.g. cross-selling)
- Ensures customer satisfaction and solves complaints with the rest of the team.
- Generates leads, opportunities, orders and contracts to meet the sales budget and pricing targets.
- Requests technical know-how from Technical sales support (TSS) in the tendering phase in non-standard cases and according to local policy.
- Arranges pre-tender, pre-booking reviews and ensures Sales-to-Operations...Prepare and deliver technical presentations.
- Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements.
- Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery.
- Plan and modify products to meet customer needs.
- Help clients solve problems with installed equipment.
- Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers.
- Help in researching and developing new products.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software (ERP etc.)
- Candidate should have accurate stock records
