Infrastructure Estimation Engineer – WNSIEE12082025
Company Overview

Job Overview
They are seeking a detail-oriented Infrastructure Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates for infrastructure and civil engineering projects. The role involves analyzing technical drawings, specifications, and site data to assess project requirements, material quantities, labor costs, and timelines. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure competitive and precise estimates that meet client and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Study and analyze project specifications, drawings, technical documents, and tender requirements to determine scope, frequency, and type of work/testing needed.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for infrastructure projects.
- Prepare accurate rate analyses and cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and specialized material testing services (soil, aggregates, concrete, bitumen, steel, etc.).
- Calculate precise quantities of tests and materials required across the project lifecycle, from raw material approval to final quality checks.
- Lead preparation and submission of technical and commercial bid proposals for tenders from government bodies (NHAI, R&B), EPC contractors, and private developers, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to clarify technical requirements, finalize cost data, and ensure proposed solutions are feasible.
- Conduct site visits to assess project complexities and incorporate findings into estimates.
- Evaluate risks, contingencies, and potential cost-saving opportunities in proposals.
- Develop and maintain a master cost database for materials, equipment, labor, and testing procedures, factoring in overheads, site visit costs, and consumables.
- Review and validate contractor bids and proposals to ensure accuracy and alignment with technical and budgetary requirements.
- Perform market analysis to monitor competitor pricing, industry trends, and market positioning, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure all estimates and proposals comply with regulatory and technical standards (e.g., IS Codes, MORTH, IRC).
- Support project cost control, budgeting, and financial planning during execution phases to stay within approved budgets.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all bids, proposals, estimates, and their outcomes, and prepare regular performance and estimation accuracy reports for management.

Any Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil Engineering. Additional certification in Quantity Surveying or Cost Estimation is an advantage. Training in material testing procedures and standards (IS Codes, MORTH, IRC) preferred. Proficiency in relevant Estimation Software and AutoCAD is desirable.
Experience
Minimum 3 to 6 Years of experience in Infrastructure Project Estimation. Experience in Quantity Take-Off, BOQ Preparation, and Rate Analysis. Exposure to Material Testing Services Costing for Soil, Aggregates, Concrete, Bitumen, and Steel. Hands-on experience with Tendering and Bid Proposal Preparation for Government and Private Projects. Familiarity with IS Codes, MORTH, and IRC Standards. Proficiency in Estimation Software, AutoCAD, and MS Excel. Experience in Vendor Coordination, Cost Control, and Project Budgeting.
