
Job Overview
They are seeking a dynamic and technically sound Service Engineer to join our growing team in the advanced machine manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and technical support of our high-precision machinery including CO2 Laser Machines, Fiber Laser Machines, CNC Routers, Laser Engraving Machines, Laser Marking Machines, and Digital Printers. This role is ideal for engineering graduates passionate about technology, machinery, and customer service.
- Install and commission CO2/Fiber Laser Machines, CNC Routers, and Digital Printing Machines at client sites.
- Ensure proper setup, alignment, and calibration of machines to meet technical specifications.
- Conduct safety checks and comply with installation standards and protocols.
- Provide basic operational training to customers post-installation.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and increase machine life.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software-related issues.
- Use tools, manuals, and diagnostics to identify and resolve root causes of machine malfunctions.
- Repair or replace faulty parts such as laser sources, motors, drives, control systems, etc.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support via phone, email, or personal visits.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer service calls and technical issues.
- Conduct detailed training sessions for clients on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through timely service and clear communication.
- Maintain accurate records of all service activities, repairs, and installations.
- Prepare service reports detailing work done, parts used, and recommendations.
- Assist in updating and improving technical manuals and service procedures.
- Provide technical feedback to engineering and production teams for performance improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in laser, CNC, and digital printing machines.
- Participate in training programs to upgrade technical knowledge and skills.
- Identify and recommend service process improvements for better efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry safety standards during all field visits.
- Educate customers on machine safety procedures and best practices during operations.
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic circuits and motion control systems.
- Familiarity with laser optics, CNC technologies, control panels, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, technical manuals, and wiring schematics.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Self-motivated, organized, and willing to travel extensively.
- Strong foundation in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools and systematic problem-solving methods.
- Familiarity with CO2 and Fiber Laser systems, including laser sources and beam delivery.
- Understanding of CNC machines, basic G-code programming, motors, drives, and encoders.
- Awareness of digital printing technologies like inkjet and UV systems.
- Mechanical aptitude for handling assemblies, performing alignments, and understanding mechanical drawings.
- Experience with measuring instruments and calibration procedures.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with machine control or diagnostic software.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a logical and methodical approach.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with professional service orientation.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
