Job Overview

They are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Travel Consultant to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with travel arrangements, ticketing, and designing personalized travel packages that cater to their needs. The role requires excellent knowledge of travel destinations, booking systems, and the ability to deliver outstanding service while working in a fast-paced, global travel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to understand travel needs, preferences, and budgets.
  • Design and present customized itineraries including flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, and activities.
  • Promote and sell travel packages, holiday deals, group tours, and corporate travel services.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets with upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Handle international and domestic ticketing (airlines, trains, buses, etc.) using GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and online booking tools.
  • Manage end-to-end travel arrangements including bookings, cancellations, reissues, refunds, and amendments.
  • Suggest destinations, visa requirements, travel routes, and best deals based on client preferences.
  • Ensure travel insurance, documentation, and necessary permits are arranged.
  • Stay updated with global travel destinations, visa regulations, cultural insights, and travel trends.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of airlines, hotels, DMCs, tour operators, and supplier products.
  • Conduct market research to identify travel trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities.
  • Suggest unique, luxury, and offbeat destinations to enhance offerings.
  • Develop and implement travel marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
  • Create engaging brochures, promotional content, and advertising campaigns.
  • Plan and execute events such as trade shows, exhibitions, and travel fairs.
  • Prepare and send accurate quotations, invoices, and confirmations to clients.
  • Process payments securely and maintain accurate financial records in CRM/booking systems.
  • Maintain organized client files, booking records, and communication logs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, airlines, hotels, and DMCs to secure best rates and offers.
  • Manage corporate travel accounts and ensure seamless service for business clients.
  • Provide proactive pre-travel support to address potential booking issues.
  • Offer in-trip assistance for delays, emergencies, or last-minute changes.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve travel-related issues promptly.
  • Deliver 24/7 customer support for urgent travel needs when required.
  • Collect post-travel feedback to improve service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams for smooth service delivery.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and support fellow team members to achieve company goals.


Key Skills
  • Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international ticketing, booking tools, and travel platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of global travel destinations, cultures, attractions, and travel trends.
  • Expertise in visa requirements, travel documentation, health certificates, and insurance processes.
  • Understanding of airline and hotel tariffs, fare rules, and rate structures.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with active listening and clarity in client interactions.
  • Strong sales acumen with upselling and cross-selling abilities.
  • Customer service excellence with patience, empathy, and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to create customized travel itineraries and packages.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with multitasking ability.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in bookings, reissues, cancellations, and itineraries.
  • Analytical and data analysis skills for evaluating sales and market trends.
  • Marketing and promotional skills with creativity in promoting travel offers.
  • Competence in preparing quotations, invoices, and managing financial transactions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM/travel industry software.
  • Adaptability to changing travel regulations, technologies, and market demands.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal business hours for urgent travel needs.
  • Problem-solving skills for handling travel disruptions, emergencies, and complaints.
  • Patience and calmness under pressure when dealing with demanding clients or unexpected issues.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure best rates with airlines, hotels, and suppliers.
  • Experience in social media management and digital marketing for travel promotions.
  • Basic graphic design knowledge for creating travel brochures and materials (added advantage).
  • Foreign language proficiency (advantageous for international client handling).
  • Financial acumen for budgeting, invoicing, and commission management.
  • Passion for travel and tourism with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proven experience as a Travel Consultant, Travel Agent, or in a similar role.

₹30000/- to ₹60000/- pm (Best in the Industry for Qualified Candidate)
