Job Overview
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, supervising, and monitoring civil construction activities for high-rise residential and commercial projects. The role involves ensuring that all construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines. The Civil Engineer coordinates with architects, structural consultants, contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure smooth site operations, efficient resource utilization, and successful project delivery. The position plays a key role in maintaining construction quality, controlling costs, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring compliance with statutory and engineering standards while contributing to the timely completion of premium real estate developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, supervise, and monitor all civil construction activities for high-rise residential and commercial projects.
- Ensure all construction work is carried out as per approved architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review drawings, BOQs, and technical documents to identify and resolve discrepancies before execution.
- Prepare and monitor construction schedules, work plans, and project milestones to ensure timely completion.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities including excavation, RCC works, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, finishing, and infrastructure works.
- Conduct site layout, setting out, level checks, and dimensional verification to ensure accurate execution.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and take corrective actions to prevent delays and maintain project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, IS codes, building regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain high standards of construction quality and workmanship.
- Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures throughout project execution.
- Inspect and verify incoming construction materials and ensure compliance with approved quality standards.
- Coordinate material testing, quality inspections, and documentation for construction activities.
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, labor teams, and site supervisors to ensure productivity and quality performance.
- Monitor manpower, machinery, and material utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure timely availability of construction materials and resources.
- Verify work measurements, quantities executed, contractor bills, and BOQ compliance for billing purposes.
- Monitor project costs, material consumption, and budget performance while implementing cost-control measures.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, design issues, and site-related engineering problems.
- Implement value engineering and productivity improvement initiatives without compromising quality and safety.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company safety standards on site.
- Coordinate inspections, approvals, and compliance activities with consultants, clients, and government authorities.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, site records, quality documents, and technical documentation.
- Manage snag rectification, as-built documentation, testing, commissioning support, and project handover activities.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide updates on construction progress, quality, safety, resource requirements, and project risks.

- Strong expertise in high-rise residential and commercial building construction and project execution.
- Proficiency in construction planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, and project monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of RCC construction, structural engineering, reinforcement detailing, and foundation works.
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute architectural, structural, and MEP drawings accurately.
- Expertise in site execution, site supervision, and overall construction management.
- Strong experience in quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, and measurement verification.
- Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), material testing, and construction quality management.
- Strong contractor, subcontractor, vendor, and workforce management skills.
- Expertise in cost control, budget monitoring, material reconciliation, and resource optimization.
- Strong technical problem-solving, engineering analysis, and value engineering capabilities.
- Knowledge of advanced construction technologies, formwork systems, and modern high-rise construction practices.
- Thorough understanding of building codes, IS standards, RERA regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management and workplace safety implementation skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MS Project, Primavera P6, and MS Excel.
- Excellent stakeholder coordination, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional team management skills.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, time management, and project delivery management abilities.

Candidates with experience in High-Rise Residential Projects, Commercial Building Projects, Real Estate Development, Infrastructure Projects, RCC Structures, Project Execution, Site Supervision, or Construction Management will be given priority. Hands-on experience in Site Execution, Construction Planning, RCC Works, Quantity Estimation, BOQ Management, Quality Control, Contractor Coordination, Material Management, Project Monitoring, and Construction Documentation is essential. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MS Project, Primavera P6, BIM, Quantity Surveying, Cost Control, Quality Assurance (QA/QC), and Construction Management practices will be an added advantage.
