Video Editor – WNRVE04102024
- Footage Editing: Edit raw footage into a cohesive, engaging, and high-quality final product, including trimming, color grading, adding transitions, and sound syncing.
- Creative Input: Collaborate with the creative team to understand project goals, develop concepts, and bring fresh, innovative ideas to each project.
- Post-Production: Apply post-production techniques, such as visual effects, sound effects, music, titles, and graphics, to enhance the quality and impact of the video.
- Content Formatting: Ensure videos are formatted properly for distribution across various platforms (social media, websites, etc.), optimizing resolution, aspect ratios, and file formats.
- Storytelling: Organize footage and construct engaging narratives that align with the project’s goals, whether for marketing, social media, or internal use.
- Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to ensure a cohesive vision is maintained throughout the editing process.
- Time Management: Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work.
- Feedback Incorporation: Receive and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and make necessary revisions to ensure the final product meets expectations.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain a library of video assets and backups for future use.
Key Skills
- Familiarity with CGI (Computer - Generated Imagery), Motion Graphics and 3D Animation.
- Knowledge of photography and sound design.
- Basic understanding of cinematography and camera work.
- Proficient in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of audio mixing, color correction, and visual effects.
- Familiarity with different video formats, codecs, and editing workflows.
- Excellent storytelling abilities and creative thinking.
- Strong attention to detail, especially with pacing, music selection, and scene transitions.
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
- Understanding of social media video trends and digital content formats.
- Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software. (Edius, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom)
- Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles.
- Creative and innovative.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages. (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity.
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing.
- Capacity to communicate effectively.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to pick out attention-grabbing shots.
- Excellent storytelling skills.
- Knowledge of basic editing principles.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to work with multi-track split audio.
- Knowledge of aspect ratios.
- Experience with high-resolution file transfer applications.
- Understanding of video encoding formats.
- Talent for sound design.
