CNC Machine Operator – WNTCMO18062025

Job Overview
They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join their production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to manufacture high-precision parts used in packaging machinery for the bottling industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) to produce parts as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components efficiently and safely.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
- Select, install, and manage appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices.
- Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Load, retrieve, and execute CNC programs; make minor edits to optimize machine performance.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth functioning and report programming or mechanical issues.
- Inspect parts during and after machining using precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMMs.
- Ensure all manufactured components meet required tolerances and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, production logs, and documentation.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and coolant checks.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report machine malfunctions or abnormal operations to maintenance or supervisory staff.
- Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
- Track and report material usage, finished parts inventory, and any material discrepancies.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to resolve issues and improve machining processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality.
- Stay updated on CNC technologies, tools, and machining practices relevant to the packaging machinery and bottling industry.
Key Skills
- Proficient in setting up, operating, and tending CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T symbols, and CAD/CAM files.
- Familiarity with G-code and M-code, with the ability to load, run, and make minor edits to CNC programs.
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, depth gauges, and CMM for inspection and quality assurance.
- Understanding of cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and workholding devices, including proper selection and maintenance.
- Understanding of machining properties of various materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and engineering plastics.
- Capable of setting offsets, changing tools, and adjusting machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance and identify/report malfunctions or unusual operations.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes, SPC, and performing both in-process and final inspections.
- High accuracy in ensuring parts meet design specifications and tight tolerances.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving machining, programming, or process-related issues.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and machining principles.
- Commitment to safety protocols, use of PPE, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Competent in maintaining accurate production logs, inspection records, and reporting issues clearly.
- Effective verbal and written communication with team members, engineers, and supervisors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing production demands, schedules, or technologies.
- Proactive attitude with a desire to improve processes and stay updated on new machining technologies.
- Basic skills in using CAD software, spreadsheets, and other relevant digital tools.
- Eagerness to identify inefficiencies and contribute ideas for optimizing machining processes.

₹40000/- to ₹60000/- pm (Best in the Industry for Qualified Candidate)

Any Candidates with a ITI Machinist / ITI Fitter / Diploma Mechanical Engineering / B.E. Mechanical Engineering / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering / Relevant Technical Qualifications with a good understanding of the CNC Machine Operation and assembly process can apply for this position.
Experience
Minimum 3 to 5 Years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator in Machinery Production Line can apply for this position. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in Packaging Machinery Production....
