Quality Control Executive – WNUQCE26082025

Job Overview
As a Quality Control Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance before reaching the customer. You will oversee the entire quality process—from raw material inspection to finished product validation—ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability in production.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and test incoming raw materials (polymers, pigments, additives) against specifications and verify supplier COAs.
- Conduct in-process quality checks during compounding and extrusion to ensure dispersion, temperature, and color consistency.
- Perform finished product testing on masterbatch pellets, including color matching, melt flow index (MFI), pigment/ash content, dispersion test, moisture content, and physical inspection of pellet size, shape, and uniformity.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, REACH, ROHS, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection reports, and test records.
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (COA) for shipments.
- Identify non-conforming products, document deviations, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with R&D and Production teams to resolve quality issues and optimize processes.
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to reduce rejections and improve efficiency.
- Assist in internal and external audits (ISO 9001, etc.).
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment in proper working order.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Provide technical support to customers and address quality-related complaints.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and guide production staff on quality standards, awareness, and best practices.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of polymers, masterbatches, pigments, additives, and plastics processing.
- Expertise in color formulation and testing of color masterbatches.
- Proficiency in laboratory testing equipment such as Spectrophotometer, MFI tester, Moisture Analyzer, and Muffle Furnace.
- Hands-on experience in quality control tests including color matching (CIE Lab*, ΔE), melt flow index (MFI), ash content analysis, moisture analysis, and dispersion tests.
- Competence in handling, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory and QC equipment.
- Understanding of ISO, REACH, ROHS, QMS (ISO 9001:2015), and other regulatory quality standards.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes like extrusion, injection molding, and film blowing to evaluate masterbatch performance.
- Ability to analyze and interpret test results, technical data, and identify trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on troubleshooting quality and production issues.
- Knowledge of process optimization and continuous improvement techniques.
- Attention to detail with high accuracy in inspections, testing, and reporting.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with R&D, production, and sales teams.
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records, technical documentation, and COAs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Customer-oriented mindset with ability to resolve complaints and provide technical support.
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing technologies, processes, and customer requirements.
- Integrity and objectivity in enforcing quality standards and making unbiased decisions.
- Educational background in Polymer Science, Plastics Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel for data analysis and reporting).
- Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP) for recording quality data and tracking materials.

Experience
Minimum 0 to 2 years of experience in Quality Control Executive / Quality Assurance Executive / Colour Mixer within the Masterbatch / Plastics / Polymer industry... Hands-on experience in Laboratory Testing, Color Matching and Quality Audits preferred...Exposure to Process Optimization, Troubleshooting and Customer Complaint Handling will be an advantage.
