Job Overview

They are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems for our advanced bottling and packaging machinery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards in performance, reliability, and quality, supporting our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for PET bottle blowing, filling, capping, labeling, and packaging machinery.
  • Lead or assist in the conceptualization and detailed engineering of mechanical assemblies and complete machinery systems.
  • Create 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo).
  • Conduct engineering calculations, simulations (FEA, CFD), and feasibility studies to validate designs and optimize performance.
  • Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and components (e.g., bearings, motors, pneumatic/hydraulic parts) based on design needs and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design documentation including CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with R&D, electrical, automation, project, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure successful integration and execution of projects.
  • Perform prototyping, assembly, testing, and validation of mechanical systems and components.
  • Analyze test data and troubleshoot mechanical issues during the design, manufacturing, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure all designs comply with international safety, quality, and industry standards (e.g., CE, ISO, OSHA).
  • Support manufacturing and assembly teams by providing technical guidance and ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and update technical documents, manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Investigate and resolve mechanical issues in existing equipment, including field troubleshooting and customer site support when necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement and product innovation to enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions to reduce downtime and warranty issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and materials to incorporate sustainable and cutting-edge solutions.
  • Liaise with suppliers to specify, evaluate, and procure mechanical components, ensuring design requirements and delivery timelines are met.
  • Occasionally support project planning, execution, and delivery by aligning engineering tasks with overall project goals.


Key Skills

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo) for mechanical design and drafting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and machine component development.
  • Experience with FEA and CFD tools for design validation and performance optimization.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanics of materials, machine design, kinematics, dynamics, and thermodynamics.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including component selection and circuit design.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, casting, injection molding, and sheet metal forming.
  • Expertise in material selection and material science (metals, plastics, composites) based on application and compliance needs.
  • Practical knowledge of sensors, actuators, and basic mechatronics used in automated packaging machinery.
  • Hands-on experience in prototyping, assembly, testing, and validation of mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on design accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Ability to create and manage detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, SOPs, manuals, and ECOs.
  • Knowledge of international safety and quality standards (CE, ISO, OSHA).
  • Competence in using PDM/PLM systems for design version control and lifecycle management.
  • Basic understanding of project planning and task management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal collaboration and external coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams (R&D, electrical, automation, service, and sales).
  • Innovation and creativity in developing new design solutions and improvements.

As an Infrastructure Real Estate Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving business development and sales growth in the infrastructure and real estate segment.
