Job Overview
- Manage and coordinate inward/outward shipments, warehousing, and transportation.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of sensor-based devices and components to clients or field teams.
- Select and coordinate with transporters, freight agents, couriers, and customs brokers for smooth delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory, including sensor units, parts, and accessories.
- Monitor stock levels, avoid stockouts/overstocking, and raise purchase requisitions when needed.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system data.
- Implement and manage inventory control systems (FIFO, perpetual inventory, etc.).
- Oversee the storage, organization, and space optimization of goods within warehouses.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and protection of products during storage and shipment.
- Comply with safety regulations and proper handling of sensitive electronic equipment.
- Plan and execute end-to-end shipping based on cost, urgency, and destination (air, sea, road, courier).
- Prepare and manage shipping documents: invoices, packing lists, customs declarations, GRNs, and e-way bills.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal teams and clients.
- Handle complete export documentation in hard copy for international shipments.
- Coordinate with customs and visit DHL/customs office as required.
- Maintain organized records of all shipping and export activities.
- Collaborate with the finance team for timely and accurate invoice creation and record-keeping.
- Communicate with suppliers to align delivery schedules and resolve any discrepancies or quality issues.
- Evaluate and recommend vendors based on reliability, cost, and performance.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams on material requirements and lead times.
- Manage return logistics for repair, calibration, or disposal.
- Coordinate with technical and service teams for maintenance-related movement of goods.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in logistics and transportation.
- Plan optimal shipping routes to enhance efficiency and reduce delivery times.
- Analyze logistics costs and suggest areas for improvement.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Customer Service to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Support logistics planning for product launches, installations, and project deployments.
- Coordinate with Production and Operations teams for packaging and box dimension details.
- Ensure compliance with all logistics-related regulatory requirements, including customs, GST, and safety norms.
- Develop and implement SOPs for all logistics functions.
- Continuously review and enhance logistics workflows using software tools and analytics.
- Verify and cross-check box labels against Project KT documentation before shipment.
- Ensure all documentation is error-free and aligned with internal records.
- Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
- Experience with shipping, transportation, and distribution management.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, perpetual inventory).
- Proficiency in coordinating domestic and international shipments and preparing accurate shipping documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP and logistics software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, Zoho Inventory).
- Understanding of customs regulations, import/export policies, and trade compliance.
- Proficiency in preparing invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, and customs declarations.
- Basic knowledge of GST, taxes, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills for logistics data analysis and process optimization.
- Data-driven decision-making abilities based on insights and KPIs.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets for reporting and tracking.
- Excellent coordination and verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with vendors, freight forwarders, and service providers.
- Effective problem-solving skills to handle delays, losses, or damage.
- Attention to detail in documentation, labeling, and inventory tracking.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
