Human Resource Manager – WNSHRM26112025

Job Overview
They are looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee and manage all HR functions across our logistics and warehousing operations in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, training, and performance management to ensure a highly efficient and engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with business goals in logistics, warehousing, transportation, and supply-chain operations.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational growth and manpower planning across 30+ locations.
- Lead HR digital transformation initiatives including HRMS upgrades, biometric/facial recognition systems, and mobile apps for field staff.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for drivers, warehouse staff, loaders, supervisors, fleet managers, tech-enabled logistics roles, sales/BD, and corporate positions.
- Build strong blue-collar sourcing pipelines through job portals, Rojgar Melas, ITI/polytechnic campuses, contractors, and referrals.
- Forecast staffing needs based on expansion, seasonal demand, and new warehouse/route setups.
- Design and execute structured onboarding and induction programs focusing on culture, safety, compliance, and SOPs.
- Oversee onboarding, documentation, HRIS maintenance, confirmations, promotions, transfers, and separations.
- Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with audit and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Ensure smooth HR operations across warehouses, transport hubs, branches, and corporate offices.
- Implement KPI-based performance appraisal systems for drivers, warehouse teams, and corporate staff.
- Drive annual appraisal cycles, goal-setting, mid-year reviews, moderation, and calibration sessions.
- Identify high-potential employees and implement succession planning.
- Conduct training needs analysis and design competency-based training programs for all levels.
- Roll out annual training calendars covering safety, defensive driving, MHE operations, WMS/TMS/LMS, leadership, and soft skills.
- Track training effectiveness and ROI through assessments and productivity improvements.
- Handle employee grievances, conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives including Driver of the Month, Long-Service Awards, Family Day, sports events, and cultural activities.
- Strengthen organizational culture based on safety, customer service, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Manage union relations, negotiations, long-term settlements, and maintain industrial harmony.
- Conduct domestic enquiries and ensure fair discipline management.
- Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws including CLRA, Factories Act, Shops & Establishment, Minimum Wages, Bonus Act, POSH, and other statutory regulations.
- Oversee statutory benefits including PF, ESI, gratuity, workmen compensation, mediclaim, and GPA.
- Lead internal and external audits including ISO 9001:2015, PF/ESI, labor department, and client audits.
- Update HR policies as per legal, industry, and organizational requirements.
- Coordinate timely and accurate payroll processing for 5,000+ contract and permanent employees.
- Validate attendance, overtime, shift schedules, incentive payouts, and wage revisions.
- Benchmark compensation structures and design incentive programs for various roles.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in salary, benefits, and employee data.
- Prepare HR dashboards covering hiring, attrition, absenteeism, productivity, training, and compliance.
- Analyze HR metrics to support manpower planning, cost control, and decision-making.
- Drive initiatives to reduce attrition and absenteeism among drivers and warehouse associates.
- Oversee and manage 50+ contract labour agencies to ensure compliance and timely wage payouts.
- Conduct vendor audits, contractor performance reviews, and vendor rating.
- Ensure contract labour deployment aligns with business needs and statutory compliance.
- Support safety training, incident reporting, accident investigation, and workplace safety programs.
- Promote health, hygiene, and well-being initiatives across all locations.
- Ensure safe working conditions in coordination with operations and safety teams.
- Promote diversity and inclusion by increasing women participation in warehousing and transport roles.
- Ensure full compliance with POSH and conduct awareness and committee training programs.
- Implement practices supporting disability hiring and inclusive workplace culture.
- Manage internal communication, company announcements, and employee information flow.
- Perform additional HR duties as required to support the company’s long-term vision and operational excellence.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of logistics, warehousing, transportation, and 3PL industry HR practices.
- Expertise in full-cycle recruitment for blue-collar and white-collar roles.
- High-volume manpower planning and workforce optimization across multi-location networks.
- Deep understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong Industrial Relations (IR) and union-handling experience.
- Ability to manage long-term settlements (LTS), negotiations, and grievance resolution.
- Proficiency in HRMS, ATS, biometric and facial recognition systems, and HR analytics tools.
- Experience in digital onboarding, digitized HR processes, and HR automation.
- Ability to design and implement Performance Management Systems (KPI/Balanced Scorecard).
- Training needs analysis and competency-based learning and development program design.
- Strong payroll coordination with knowledge of shifts, overtime, incentives, and contract-labour wages.
- Experience managing payroll for large workforces (3000–5000+ employees).
- Expertise in compensation and benefits benchmarking and incentive-structure design.
- Data-driven decision-making and HR analytics capability.
- Strong skills in preparing HR dashboards, reports, and analytics.
- Conflict resolution, disciplinary management, and employee grievance handling.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to build a strong, safety-first, and customer-centric workplace culture.
- Contract labour management with experience overseeing multiple manpower contractors.
- Vendor management for labour suppliers, training partners, and compliance agencies.
- Ability to lead HR operations across warehouses, transport hubs, corporate, and branch offices.
- Strategic thinking and ability to partner with senior leadership and operations heads.
- High level of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Strong project management and multitasking skills in fast-paced logistics environments.
- Experience in HR audits including ISO 9001:2015, client audits, and statutory inspections.
