Job Overview
- Supervise daily on-site activities for high-rise residential and commercial projects, including structural, finishing, and MEPF works.
- Ensure all construction activities are executed as per approved structural, architectural, and MEP drawings, specifications, safety norms, and project timelines.
- Oversee subcontractors, labour contractors, and site workforce to maintain productivity, discipline, and quality standards.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, structural consultants, architects, MEP engineers, façade consultants, and interior designers.
- Manage and monitor site materials, construction tools, tower crane usage, and equipment required for high-rise execution.
- Maintain daily site progress reports, labour deployment, material consumption, pour cards, inspection checklists, and quality records.
- Conduct regular site inspections across all floors to ensure workmanship quality, structural accuracy, and compliance with design intent.
- Implement and strictly enforce safety practices, statutory requirements, and company HSE policies for high-rise construction sites.
- Supervise civil and structural works including excavation, piling, raft or foundation systems, RCC frameworks, shear walls, slabs, staircases, masonry, plastering, and external finishes.
- Verify reinforcement detailing, formwork systems, concrete pouring, vibration, curing, and cube testing as per approved structural drawings and QA/QC norms.
- Monitor vertical alignment, level control, plumb checks, and structural tolerances critical for high-rise buildings.
- Oversee installation, coordination, and testing of high-rise MEP systems including electrical risers, lighting, power systems, HVAC, fire fighting, plumbing, drainage, and STP connections.
- Ensure seamless integration of MEP services with structural, architectural, and façade elements across all floors.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks for MEP installations, pressure testing, commissioning readiness, and compliance with statutory approvals.
- Supervise interior and common area works including flooring, false ceilings, wall finishes, joinery, painting, and façade interface areas.
- Ensure accuracy in measurements, finishing quality, and alignment for residential units and commercial spaces.
- Coordinate with interior designers, vendors, and suppliers for timely availability of approved materials and finishes.
- Assist in planning floor-wise construction sequencing, work fronts, and activity overlaps to avoid clashes and delays in high-rise execution.
- Identify site-related challenges, safety risks, or execution issues and resolve them promptly or escalate to senior management when required.
- Ensure project milestones, floor cycle targets, and handover schedules are achieved within approved budgets.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, authorities, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure superior quality finishes, snag-free execution, and smooth final handover of high-rise residential and commercial buildings as per project specifications.
- Strong knowledge of high-rise civil and structural construction techniques, methodologies, and execution practices.
- Practical working understanding of high-rise MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems.
- Expertise in interior finishing works for high-rise residential units and commercial spaces, including carpentry, painting, flooring, false ceilings, and premium fit-outs.
- Proficient in interpreting architectural, structural, MEP, façade, and interior design drawings specific to high-rise projects.
- Skilled in reading BOQs, work orders, method statements, technical specifications, and construction blueprints.
- In-depth knowledge of high-rise construction materials, systems, and their correct application at different stages of the project.
- Strong understanding of applicable building codes, fire norms, lift regulations, safety standards, and statutory compliance for high-rise buildings.
- Proficiency in quality control procedures, checklists, and standards as per national codes and ISO-based systems.
- Ability to manage and supervise daily site operations across multiple floors and disciplines simultaneously.
- Effective resource planning and inventory management for labour, materials, formwork systems, and construction equipment.
- Strong scheduling and time management skills to achieve floor cycle targets and overall project milestones.
- Proven team leadership skills with experience in supervising labour contractors, subcontractors, and site staff.
- Ability to handle conflicts, coordinate work fronts, and carry out basic negotiations with subcontractors and vendors.
- Strong risk identification skills with the ability to plan and implement on-site mitigation measures.
- Awareness of site-level budgeting, material consumption control, and cost optimisation practices.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prepare daily progress reports, inspection records, safety logs, and project documentation.
- Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, statutory authorities, and internal management teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take quick, practical decisions in high-rise site conditions.
- Familiarity with construction and project management tools such as Primavera and MS Project.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reviewing and understanding construction and coordination drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for reporting and communication.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on execution accuracy, vertical alignment, and design compliance.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-storey, and multi-disciplinary construction environments.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and strict site discipline.
- Physical stamina and readiness to work in demanding high-rise construction site conditions.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to foresee challenges and act before issues escalate.
