Job Overview
- Manage end-to-end government, institutional, and private sector projects related to uPVC and HDPE piping systems, from opportunity identification to project closure.
- Identify and acquire new clients through project-based sales and marketing, including government departments, PSUs, municipal bodies, EPC contractors, consultants, and private developers.
- Lead client acquisition, relationship management, and key account coordination to ensure long-term business engagement and repeat orders.
- Identify relevant government and private tenders, RFQs, and e-tenders, and manage the complete tendering process including pre-qualification, BOQ review, costing, techno-commercial proposals, bidding, negotiation, and submissions.
- Develop detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, logistics planning, and risk assessment.
- Execute projects as per approved drawings, IS standards, technical specifications, contract terms, and the Company’s quality and safety norms.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams such as sales, production, procurement, quality, dispatch, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless project execution and timely material supply.
- Liaise with government departments, institutional authorities, consultants, and statutory bodies for approvals, vendor registrations, inspections, clearances, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure inclusion of Company products in approved vendor lists and project specifications at DPR and consultant stages.
- Monitor on-site progress, quality control, safety compliance, and installation practices, and resolve technical, coordination, and execution-related issues.
- Track project budgets, costs, and margins, control expenses, and ensure profitability while minimizing delays and risks.
- Oversee billing activities including RA bills, final bills, variation claims, measurements, and documentation to ensure timely certification and payment collection.
- Prepare and maintain MIS, project reports, sales updates, execution status, collections data, and key performance indicators for management review.
- Support business growth and market presence through successful project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and visibility in government and institutional projects.
- Lead and guide project and site teams, ensure clear role allocation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement in execution processes.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication, after-sales coordination, issue resolution, and post-project support.
- In-depth technical knowledge of uPVC and HDPE piping systems, fittings, jointing methods, pressure ratings, applications, and installation practices.
- Strong understanding of Indian and international standards and codes such as IS, ISO, ASTM, and project-specific specifications.
- Proven experience in handling government, institutional, and private infrastructure projects in water supply, sewerage, irrigation, industrial, and real estate sectors.
- Expertise in end-to-end project management including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and project closure.
- Proficiency in project management and planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera, ERP systems, and advanced Excel for MIS and tracking.
- Strong knowledge of tendering and bidding processes, including e-tendering portals (GeM, CPPP, state portals), BOQ preparation, techno-commercial documentation, pricing, and negotiations.
- Project-based sales and business development skills, including client acquisition, key account management, and concept selling for infrastructure projects.
- Excellent government and institutional liaising skills with departments, PSUs, municipal corporations, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Ability to manage approvals, vendor registrations, compliance requirements, inspections, and statutory documentation.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills across sales, production, procurement, quality, logistics, dispatch, and finance teams.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including cost control, budgeting, margin management, RA billing, variation claims, and payment follow-ups.
- Hands-on site execution and supervision skills, including interpretation of drawings, monitoring installation quality, testing, safety, and issue resolution.
- Strong quality assurance, QA/QC, and compliance orientation to ensure adherence to company standards and contractual obligations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for interaction with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior management.
- Leadership and team management skills to guide project teams, site engineers, and supervisors, and drive performance under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and risk management skills to address technical, commercial, and execution challenges.
- Strategic thinking ability to align project execution, sales objectives, and market expansion with long-term business growth.
