Sales Engineer – WNDSE12062025

Job Overview
They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of air compressors, PSA gas generators, compressed air accessories, and industrial engineering products, combined with proven sales acumen. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs, proposing technical solutions, and closing sales to support the growth of our business both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage new and existing customer relationships in assigned domestic and international territories.
- Identify and engage with potential customers through lead generation, networking, and industry events.
- Understand client requirements, conduct site visits, and provide tailored technical solutions.
- Recommend and size suitable products such as air compressors, PSA gas generators, dryers, filters, and accessories based on application needs.
- Prepare and submit accurate technical and commercial proposals, including system layouts, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions to customers, consultants, and distributors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale to close orders and achieve assigned sales targets.
- Provide post-sales support including basic troubleshooting and coordination with service teams for issue resolution.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, logistics, and service departments to ensure smooth execution and delivery of projects.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project status using CRM tools.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Gather market feedback and share insights with product development teams to support continuous improvement.
- Provide internal and external training on product operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management for strategic business planning.
- Ensure compliance with export documentation, customs regulations, and international shipping procedures.
- Manage international agents and distributors, supporting them with product training, sales tools, and regular updates.
- Negotiate international payment terms and coordinate with finance for foreign exchange and collections.
Key Skills
- Deep technical knowledge of air compressors (reciprocating, screw, centrifugal), PSA gas generators (Nitrogen, Oxygen), and compressed air accessories. (dryers, filters, receivers, drains)
- Strong understanding of product applications, technical specifications, and energy efficiency principles.
- Ability to size and select suitable equipment based on airflow, pressure, purity, and operational needs.
- Application engineering skills to design tailored, process-specific solutions for industrial clients.
- Basic mechanical and electrical understanding of industrial machinery.
- Consultative selling approach with the ability to identify customer pain points and offer solutions.
- Proficiency in proposal and quotation preparation with technical and commercial accuracy.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills for both domestic and international sales.
- Lead generation, prospecting, and full sales cycle management.
- Market research and competitor analysis for strategy refinement.
- Sales forecasting, target achievement, and pipeline management.
- Presentation and demonstration skills for technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication for client interactions and internal coordination.
- Relationship building and long-term customer engagement.
- Customer service and after-sales support mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for basic technical issues.
- Analytical skills to assess customer requirements, industry trends, and performance metrics.
- Effective time management and multitasking across multiple clients and tasks.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); basic knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks preferred.
- Ability to conduct product training for customers, distributors, and internal teams.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, logistics, and service.
- Adaptability to changing market conditions, customer requirements, and new technologies.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards (e.g., pharma, food, packaging, manufacturing).
- Understanding of export documentation, Incoterms, international logistics, and payment terms (for export roles).
- Cultural awareness and international business acumen for dealing with global clients and distributors.

₹50000/- to ₹90000/- pm (Best in the Industry for Qualified Candidate)
