Job Overview
The Elevator Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of elevator sales by combining technical expertise with a customer-focused approach. The role involves understanding client requirements, recommending suitable elevator solutions, and ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate should have a blend of engineering knowledge, sales acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate leads for new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, builders, contractors, and consultants.
- Conduct site surveys to assess project feasibility and technical requirements.
- Recommend elevator systems and components tailored to client needs.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, including specifications, pricing, and timelines.
- Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Address client queries and provide technical guidance during the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and resolve any technical or logistical challenges.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to educate clients on elevator solutions.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and advancements in elevator technology.
- Analyze customer feedback and market data to refine sales strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market opportunities, and customer needs.
- Ensure elevator systems meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on industry codes and certifications, ensuring compliance during sales and installations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of elevator products, systems, and technology to provide accurate information to potential clients.
- Create and deliver presentations to clients, explaining the technical aspects of elevator systems and how they meet the clients' needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring continued business opportunities and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads, competitors, and trends in the elevator industry.
- Prepare detailed quotations and proposals based on client requirements, project specifications, and budget.
- Visit clients’ sites to assess the project scope, discuss requirements, and provide technical consultations.
- Offer post-sales technical support to clients, helping them with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with the engineering and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution from sales to completion.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to secure sales while maintaining profitability.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management team.
- Stay updated with the latest elevator technologies and innovations, attending training programs and industry events.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project status, reporting regularly to the sales manager.
- Ensure that sales and installation processes align with project budgets and timelines.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve service delivery and product offerings.

- Deep understanding of elevator systems, components, and technologies, as well as the ability to explain complex concepts to clients in simple terms.
